Cogswell 1949 2 Oporornis tolwaic Aug. 29 (1/3 mi - 1 mi. N) Willow Creek, 400 ft., Humboldt Co. ,, 30 Calif. Several heard each day in dense thicket .. 31 of blackberry, sedge, junceus, etc. along small tributaries of Trinity River - both in alder & alder- bay-oak woodland areas & in the open. A few were seen. One was collected on Aug. 30. Sep. 2 E. side of Trinity River, 450 ft. opposite Willow Creek, Humboldt Co., Calif. I heard one singing (full song) from dense understory in the moist forest near the mouth of Bremer Creek. This is at the area of mixture of Douglas fir with canyon bottom maple & alder forest.
