Cogswell 1949 Setta canadensis 2 Sep.6-10 Red mtn - Dubahela rid ridge, 5200 - 5700 ft., 15-17 mi. S Hayfork, Trinity Co. Calif. Common in both forest types encountered here (open pine, and white fir - Incense Cedar - Pine). A few were noticed in the occasional small tarry oak trees in the open pine forest as well. This species gave calls constantly, & most of them were easily excited & cones to squeaks & owl calls readily.
