Aug. 7-17 Big Lagoon, Humboldt Co., Calif. Common in
about the wet pastured grassland, over the marsh,
and in openings of the Spruce-alder or Dipherum
woods. They were also noted in the open bend
of Maple Creek 1 ½ miles in from the lagoon, which
is in the 3-year old burn. Many immature
birds were evident among those near the marsh.
One was collected on Aug. 10 at the 3-year-old burn.
Aug. 22 2 ½ mi. NW Schoolhouse Peak, 200ft, Humboldt Co., Calif.
about 5 individuals were seen among other
swallows & many swifts flying over grain &
stubble fields. No others were noted during
our weeks work in the Schoolhouse Peak to
French Camp area.
