Several immature gulls were also noted which were either this or I. delawarensis. They were usually on the main, open water part of the lagoon, but were once seen soaring over the marsh at the SE. end. Also, on Aug. 16 or 17, an immature flew in low over Maple Creek among the riparian woodland ½ miles in from the Lagoon.
