These lizards are quite common the
walls (exterior) of the Chellah. When
disturbed, they simply disappear into the
mator which has long-since disintegrated.
We stopped at a depressed - low men
6.6 km E. of the Rabat-Sale bridge in
hopeful search of Pelobates or Pleurodeles.
While we saw neither, we did collect
a nice series of Hyla meridionalis
tadpoles (SDB 1818)
On our return to Kenitra we
again stopped at 27.1 km E. of Kenitra
to collect:

Once again we scoured the
bricks strewn about the ruins on the
N. end of the Berch besing this name.
And, once again, we collected BLANUS
cinereus:
