Tide: Low, incoming; rock .070m exposed
Weather: Moderate wind, fog, 1.5mi visibility
On listen in blind, recording gulls. 35 gulls on perimeter, 7 on platform (8:44). Recorded zw, 8:45 - 9:45. During that time much activity, long calling, chases. Observed 5 feedings - all fish - at least 2 of those sculpins. Also heard one copulation and saw another on the cliff. 9:52 - 26 gulls on perimeter, 8 on platform - watch along. 10:00 - 10:10 recording gulls: copulation by pair behind territory 10; attempted rape or setting & 15. Chased off by neighboring δ. Attempted copulation by pair on guard tower. 10:15 - Pair 3 - δ hood, ♀ standby. After begin ♀ took off. This pair had been feeding their young just previously.
10:17 - copulation heard, but not seen. Count feed - pairs 19 - large fish. 10:27 - Colony. 28 perimeter; 10 platform. 10:29 - Randy δ (silver, yellow) at nest 33. Chick feed on IB roof → fish. Copulation on Powerhouse roof. Randy male on platform head-tossing a ♀ (origin?) He then went and did chase to a landed ♀.
The ♀ landed w/silver on left leg. Randy δ also left leg.
10:39 - Pair 28. But, pair 3 newing, feeding chicks, fish.
