Layli Bunting - several Marbling Vireo - abundant Cassin Vireo - one Lutescent Warbler - one Calif. Thrasher - one seen, singing rolls voice. Vesper Wren - several Plain Titmouse - abundant - several family groups - Chickadees, a few near the dam. Bush-tits - only a few. Wren-tito - abundant. Russet-backed Thrush - abundant Western Bluebird - several seen. July 5. Spent 9-11 a.m. with Miss Byostwick in Claremont Hotel grounds and Claremont Canyon. Found following birds: Quail - pair with 2 young - a few days old. Morning Dove - one in Buck-eye tree near eucalyptus & canyon Willow Woodpecker - one in oak tree in canyon Anna Hummingbird { many birds of the year Allen Hummingbirds } Olive-sided Flycatcher - one heard W. Wood Pewee - two seen Western Flycatcher - very abundant, many young on wing. Steller Jay - several in eucalyptus trees Calif. Jay -
