Left the North Fork of the Laramie at 9 a.m. and had lunch beside a small spring brook at 12 on the edge of the Tertiary. After leaving camp we passed a great thickness of Algonkian and then came to granite again. After leaving this cast, and the Red beds appear over all of which lies the Tertiary. Five miles down the Laramie from this camp (XIII) is the ranch of Senators Mrs. Gill and near by is the bank of the Burlington R.R. building. In this vicinity we also saw a very extensive "Round Up".
