Aug 10-99 Thursday Camp IX, X. Descending from our camp at 6:00 to the Turkey Crest at 6:30; one again descend to the Indian Grove Huts at 6:30. While we are on the Crest we Take a last look back at the Grand Canyon County. Far in the distance are the Cist and from Cloud Tooting rocks and in the near foreground the tiles arranged hill of June 1 Toad eye, not as lofty green color. The Turkey hills are safe covered and down in the valley over the creek safe houses stand. In front of us are the Indian Grove Huts while on our right is the big ridge of Ferris Hill. In the valley along the stream are stood tall willows under one place cottonwood. On the granitic hills are lots of scattered trees of various kinds above used one thin one hill, juniper, cedar and oth em.
