Aug 9-99 Wednesday. Camp IX.
Spent the morning and afternoon collecting
marine Jurassic fossils in the hills towards
and nearest to Little Canon. Found two
good ammonites, traded with collectors.
The Ammonites occur near the top of the
marine Jurass along about the just majority of
fossils. Those found at lower horizon appear
to be drifted from this upper zone.
