Loc. 21 Second road cut N. Little Eagle G. Road gutter (1) 4.5 Shale, dark gray, very finely silty. (2) 1.0± Shale, gray, highly silty, weathers brownish. (3) 8.0 Shale, gray, silty, with scattered jarosite blooms. Weathers streaked like gray & brownish gray, upper 1.0-2.0 has hazy concentration jarosite. Much selenite float. Few brownencs in upper foot-gray silt jackets. (4) 5.3 Shale, silty, grading to Shly silt, gray with jarosite stain & blobs. Weathers like brushgray. Conc. scatt in int. some large brown gray jackets gyp rinds, few in upper 2.3 tossilaceous. - Coll. Aug 26 A. - D. Nic. etc. selenitic (5) 4.5 Siltgy as below, scat concs in upper 3' The nicollite concs among them, about 2.5 from top. At top .2 of vfg send, gyp sit. some fos concs very top of interval, with, big + lighte qervilla, D.Nic. (6) 9.0 Siltsty, as in above, less jarosite, in upper 2.0+ scat. qurvilla concs. - Chieflly row at top and one 2' from top. Lower row somewhat like frana. Coll. Aug, 26 B, "proteozoa type."
