[loc 34] Green Grass Butte Base at grass foot of gully face. To W. below few feet brownish silty shale 1) 7,6 Siltstny, clayey, dark gray, weathered light gray yellowish clay. Top is 0.25 zone of yellow pyrosite nodules. 2) 7.7 Big silty cone with small CaCO3 core + golden carbonate weathers reddish - sits on lower yellow grind at base. As below with scuff gray, small ls coars., brown-gray jacket, 0.6-1.0 from base, and yellow pyrosite middle concentration at top. 3) 12.3 Silty zs below - dk gray clayey, some ffg sand. Intermittent red brown between ls coars with gray cccs in upper chiefly in upper 3', and Is cone with sculpid 9.5 from base - weathers red. A1408 4) 5,2. Siltsty, sandy, clayey, weather yellowish to brownish gray, some scuff pyrosite some small red weather ls. coars. scuffs (0.2-0.1c), between. 5) 3,0 Concretionary zone - scattered concretions in a silty zone - some partial induration of silt. Very large punky cones, lime cement weak cores, with tough gray jackets. Loc fossilic. Also hard dk blue gray limestone coars. [Coll. A. from large punky type] A 338 Large spheroid in shale 1.0 above this zone. 12
