we started from day before yesterday. From here we turned north east and had proceeded about a mile when I saw the three boys whiffing their dogs to greater speed. In front of them was something which looked like a wolf but smaller. I could not think it was such a small bear alone, yet as it proved to be, a cub weighing about forty pounds. We caught it before the dogs had injured it. It is now tied up near our tent and will go to Etel and if familiar to America.
