38th day
Two miles beyond No. 7 point.
1st 10th P.V.K.
The boys have just
left Mu-car-pring-wah and
me to go to Cape South West.
By dividing the party I
am enabled to go on
three days more toward
the south-east.
They have taken
all of our impedimenta
thus relieving us of quite
a load. I have ordered
them to hunt musk-oxen
north of the cape, and,
if successful, to await
us there. If not, they
are to go on to "Three
Bear Camps", where we have
plenty of meat and there
remain until we arrive.
I am now awaiting
local news to obtain
right for latitude and
course and variation.
