Snow at 10<sup>o</sup> 45 P.M. Wind Force I N.W. Has been lazy all day, Can see no land in west or even north-west. April 17, Monday, 27<sup>th</sup> day Somewhere near Cape Bathurst- Long. 100<sup>o</sup> W Lat-77<sup>o</sup> 45' N Cel- 7<sup>o</sup> 40 Sun bears 69<sup>o</sup> E 8 29 .. .. 81<sup>o</sup> 30 E 8 44 .. 86 30 E Eight hours Friday at- 3 1/4 miles an hour, at- the least, a total of 26 miles. Lazy yesterday and very lazy Friday so I could not- tell just where we were when we started. We tried to head about west from Ringardsholmen and effected to make land in four hours. Since it took eight and this seems to be a cape
