"Salves" on May 8th. Storöen means "Great Island." Isachsen and Hassel crossed from Cape South West to Amund Riquies Land on April 14-17. "The ice was uneven, and the sledges often ran their noses fast in the big drifts." King Christian's Land discovered April 27th. North coast low, east coast fell away abruptly. Plenty of reindeer on Eilef and Amund Riquies Land. Many traces of rich vegetation. On eastern side saw flamingo and walrus and bears. Went around the island from April 17 to May 24 — 37 days. "Kneifjord excellent place to winter. Many deer, flamingo and bear"
