Governor Anderson and all Danish here very kind to me. Stay with the Governor tomorrow here. The ladies look especially nice in their european clothes and I feel very dirty. Am to have a bath and clean underclothes before going to bed. With less resolve than than the two who come with me from Atoe I could not have come this today. The travel was very good. March x't 10 Sail at 9 o'clock for Christianshops arrived at 6. Traveled all way on land except across Jakobshorns ice fjord which is full of ice bergs. Tomorrow go towards Gjedserfjord. Son Otto & wife very hospitalable. There is no sea ice whether this year or for sledge travel the people have ever known.
