Feb 25 Started before daylight in wind & snow storm. Strucked at fjord, across land stream & glacier to next fjord south. About half way down this fjord one met thin ice, Patched tim. shot two seals. shall wait here not for promoguesset, for ice to thicken, meanwhile employ men seal hunting for food fo dogs & ourselves. Weather changed to warm today, very jickly and cound depend on it. Feb 26. Dark cludy day. Thare thought of try ing to get over glacier but weathr does not permit. Ice is making some.
