Friday April 23rd
6th day
Visited 8 islands in Rensselaer Harbor in hopes of finding a cairn or some signs of the Kane Expedition.
Not at clue I any kind excepting a small cairn on a boulder on a small island on the south side of the harbor.
Crossed a number of bear tracks which are at least a month old.
We are tonight in camp well up beyond Cape Leifer about half way to Cape Jane. The foot is excellent all along here. Tracks of 2 year and a year old I in front of our tent.
One more seal seen on ice today. Sammis saw a while fly ahead of us on the ice now steady going all through the harbor.
