Sunday March 15- a beautiful day. Had so much caching and assitting to do that we did not get started until about 10. Had rather hard going until we struck the ice just on the south side (which we followed for about 2 miles, then we crossed diagonally to north side where we found the ice just excellent. We are in two courses brought at entrance of Berstadt - today, thermometer is at 4 & 1/2 below. Wednesday March 16th Had a good jump out the channel or pond seeing both ice fresh and middle.
