"Clothing and sleeping bags. This morning we made a camp. We cached some tents -- all over among the rocks, planning to find them again on the way back. Had a good run up here to Big Cache, leaving about 9[1] and arriving at 1. Found everything all right. Apparently not a bear or fox has been care where we expected. would happen. Have spent the afternoon eliminating a part of our equipment, packing runners and getting ready for an early start. It was perfect weather but cold 49.5 -- had our first death today. Had one of the civilians kill one of his dogs considering him not worth this grand new camping trip. Brought in one rabbit. Thus far one rabbit, one bear...
