terminal cluster of leaves.
Leaves mostly dentate. Pedicels
divaricate widely spreading.
Silique widely spreading,
slightly arcuate. Same as and
with 8196.
Sepals & petals
purple.

Collection made in a vertical
distance of about 2,000 ft.
up a steep slope with lots of
granitic rock going from pines-
juniper to limber pine. Some
plants branched from the
base below a terminal cluster
of leaves; others apifge and
terminating the shoot; all
with widely spreading pedicels
and pendant siliques. Silique
slightly arcuate. Flower color
varying from deep purple
to pale lavender. 2.3 mi. on road
