Journal Aug 11. Ot Barrow, Alaska; Mullen, Holmes and an air force man returned from Lake Peters this morning. Worked on colony nearly all day. Went with Sullivan Hines to check line V, VI, VII and pick up lines III A,B and IV A,B. Put the weasel in too deep a hole and we slipped a track. They walked on out to the lines in central Marsh while I went back and got another weasel. We checked these lines, checked line traps and then picked up III A,B and IV A,B. Very foggy in central Marsh, visibility about 1/4 mile. Came back and I finished the colony work. Aug 12. Dave was at the colony the same time I was to got some blood samples from the colony. We took the blood and processed the blood. Before I could start the Colony, Dave told me Time 2-3 could go to Lake Peters right away. We left about 11:00. Charles Edwardson went with us; Zimmerman was the pilot. Tried to find a boatful of Estimoes at the Skippack to drop a bagful of supplies but couldn't find them. Arrived at Lake Peters about 2:10 or so. Very clear night there, a few clouds and almost no wind. Aug 13 Lake Peters, Alaska; Those already present at Peters were Karl Strey, Bob Mumby and an air force man along with Pete Sovalik. All left with Zimmerman except Sovalik.
