Journal July 30, 1962, Pt. Barrow; Started on colony early because there was a possibility that Sullivan & I might go to Wainwright; he, to set traps and stay, and I to find out where the trephines are and return. Won't be able to go until possibly tomorrow. Went sampling for blood with Dave. Went to the "barrel area." Caught 15, of which 14 were sampled; the other died too soon. Seminar Tonight, steering Dr. Wood with his subject of "Arctic Flowers." Drizzled off and on with a small wind. July 31, 1962, Pt. Dave & I went over the project of Schultz's for grass feeding the lemmings. Adams left today. We put the lemmings on lake chow to start them all from scratch.
