Journal July 6 Cont' Voth Area searching. Mullen's hand does not bother him. I worked on the colony after dinner finishing about 2100. Tomorrow Mullen wants to go to Kepik to search for blood samples. Note of Interest: the Arctic Fox investigators, Dave Chesmore & Duain Davies returned about 2200 tonight. They reported finding many dens, but no activity in any. They saw only 3 foxes. July 7, 1962, St. Barrow, Alaska Clear day with a soft, warm breeze. It became warm enough for the mosquitoes to come out, especially in Central Mandal. I checked the [illegible] colony first thing this morning, checking the temperature and water bottle failures. Until Mullen arrived at 0920 to go blood camping at Kepik Slough, I worked on making museum special with Hines & Sullivan. Mullen and I circled around the POW site finding one learning under a barrel. Later one was found near Kepik Slough. There was plenty of bird activity, quite a few in flocks. Sullivan left for Cape Simpson before lunch. Hines & Holmes left to go insect sampling after lunch. I helped Mullen with the blood sampling and then went to the Voth Area to gather some dry grass for the Breeding cages. I worked on the breeding cage for awhile and then went to dinner. After dinner, I finished the colony work,
