Journal June21 (cnt') was found to have a,(self-inflicted, somehow?), forarm wissing and a blood slumg protruding. This animal Des jumped from the table before and probably severely broke it then. I will it away in the morning and replace it with another as it is no longer a control animal. June 28,1962, St. Barrow; Clear day with wind. Sun is very warm. Temperature in colony all right. Hines, Pitelka and I were all set to lay down trops on lines IV A, B & XI, XII; but the weasel we had wouldn't start and others were not available. I started on colony but was interrupted to help in processing data of lemmings. Hines was called away to observe birds & other creatures on a plane flight. Sullivan got work a few minutes later to eat lunch early to leave for Pitt Point after dinner. After dinner, Pitelka and I set lines IV A & B. Lines XI and XII were too wet. Holmes came along to Britton's Area and got off to do some observations. Pitelka showed me the way he wanted the lines set. Finished some work on the lemming colony before and after dinner. June 29,1962, St. Barrow; Checked the temperature in the colony first and then checked traps line IV A+B from 0830-0930. There were two kills, by the Lemmus, and both on A+B.
