11 June Barrow, Alaska
One female seen flying south away from the
fresh water lake road. A male spotted between
Beach ridge and central marsh toward Paul main
was eating something, probably a lemming. A male
was seen 1/4 mi. west of Gasline ridge perched.
13 June Barrow, Alaska
One (? ) perched near Gasline Ridge which
was chased by a Pomarine jaeger (See species account
on Stercorarius pomarinus, June 15th)

One male perched on slope of Beach Ridge
toward Central Marsh.

Near lines IV & V, a $ + $ fought over a dead
lemming for several minutes in periods of short
duration.
