12 june Barrow, Alaska
A pair & juveniles hovered over the tundra
on the west bank of Family lagoon. One adult
perched in middle of Family lagoon.
13 june Barrow, Alaska
One juvenile on east side of Family
Lagoon; it hovered over part of tundra
only momentarily.
21 july Barrow, Alaska
3 juveniles flying over Barrel area
27 june Barrow, Alaska
A juvenile flying S.W. over Barrel area about 2200
20 july Barrow, Alaska
A flock of 6 were meandering around the area west
of Rio III A, B. Did not appear to be hunting.
22 july Barrow, Alaska
A flock group of about 20+ on shore next to Fish
Water Lake by the road. Apparently feeding on crustaceans
thrown up by wave action due to east wind. Other
birds such as Longtail Jaeger, Golden Plover, and Old Squaw
30 july Barrow-Potmegea River - Cape Selina
Several flying up and down river from ocean in searching
dalmon stranded.
21 Aug. Barrow, Alaska
An adult circled around a gregentypa lessening, once
approaching within a few feet of the jaeger. Made short cries
occasionally.
