D. Steiner 1963 Erolia bandii 11 June Barrow, Alaska Das line ridge - Display of the ascending & trilling during the [illegible] cruising was seen over line I & II. One showed aggressive attitudes toward another Baird's by chasing the latter from its territory in swooping dives until the latter reached the outskirts of its territory. 13 June Barrow, Alaska A 8 & F on Fresh Water Lake Road near AACS Male displayed both wings straight up in the air for a few seconds. 14 June Barrow, Alaska A nest found in Brittm's Area with 4 eggs. 15 June Wainwright, Alaska A 8 was startled off her nest northeast of line II, a few hundred yards away. The same wing display was immediate after jumping from the nest area. 17 June Barrow, Alaska A 8 displaying with song (dry trill, R.T. Holmes) and moving the wing rapidly in a small arc. Another shrilling or short song of a few notes occurs just before the 8 lands. The 8 usually landed on a large patch of snow just south of lines I & II 25 June Barrow, Alaska A nest adjacent to AACS on turnoff to lines IX & X from Fresh Water Lake Road with 4 eggs.
