a dog. In same area, one was seen chasing a jaeger (Stercorarius).
June 13, 1962, Yoth Area, Pt. Barrow; pair seen just west of receiver site.
June 23, 1962, "Drum Area"; Pair on water.
July 2, 1962, Beach Ridge, Pt. Barrow; a male feeding on the ridge
where there is supposed to be a nest in the area.
July 4, 1962, Central Marsh, Pt. Barrow; male seen near
a group of Golden Plovers.
July 7, 1962, SooYda NW of receiver site, Pt. Barrow, Alaska;
pair seen on ground only momentarily, not feeding.
August 24, 1962, Pt. Barrow, Alaska; a pair seen in a small pond
in association with Dunlin, Western Sandpiper, Sanderling
