Polypticta stelleri July 9, 1962, Lake Skravik, Barrow, Alaska; at the southern end of the lake, a flock of ten hers were in the water set off from other flocks. July 15, 1962, Barrow, Alaska; On the road next to fresh water lake, a drake and two hens flew across as we drove south. Evidently they were not on the lake but on small ponds across the road from the lake. July 16, 1962 St. Barrow, Alaska; en returning to ARL from "Little Freeway," saw two ducks in the ocean that I did not recognize. With Holmce there, turned out to be two hens.
