5 July Barrow, Alaska
Steve Holland & I finished the colony work by 1030, three
adults from yesterday's delivery died. All to juveniles
lived. About 1130, Steve & I picked up woodshaving from the
shop. Worked on some notes for the colony. After lunch,
I advised Holland in skinning a lemming and then went

had melted off, Logtman & I picked up lines VII & VIII and
XIII & XIV. These lines are practically completely under
water. The wind came from the west for awhile but
almost completely stopped in the evening.

live traps. A very sunny day with a mild breeze from the east

Eskimos. Picked up 5 new lemmings in the village.
before returning.
