20 June Steve Holland, an assistant to Dr. Schultz,
who will be aiding me in the colony work, came
over to be pre-indoctrinated in how we maintain
a lemming colony. I made a list for equipment
needed and that on hand for tomorrow's move to
the new colony. Hank Childs & I wired the jaws
of the processed lemmings to be used as carcasses

Brought in the traps from lines I & II after
the storm. No lemmings were caught. I checked
the live traps and caught nothing. Birds are
very active in the Barrow area although few,
but Snow Buntings, are nesting. A
clear day with a cold wind from the N.E.
The sun was very bright at 2100. Difficult
to drive the weasel due to glare.
