almost entire but slightly crease on edge, rounded on top & sides at 4th (or keeping short from base collected) Simply serrved vs lobed. the largest on this shoot 10 x 5 in from base of petiole. Past larger on mature growth. 2 lf decurrent at least 3/4 in dist. once below the branching of the branch. 2 lf recurved dots above & below. Pubes- culent above & very densely publy white pubescent below. Infla panicula Pedicels to 5 in enlarged at tip. Diver tracts present but difficult to describe. Receptacle conic. Scales scaled, 3 lobed at top, the middle lft produced into sharp point perhaps pubescent. Achene of disc fls appressed pubescent 1/2 in long including the crown which is produced outles 2 edges into awn- like points. All the achenes opened proved to be empty this containing what was probably dried resinous juice.
