4-29-29 Araceae Fl. Pub. Garden St. Georges. Pot plant, seen also no fl at Wutthill v/ Miss Hunter's on 4-23-29 at Woodhaven (*in the open) No evident stem. Loss from crown near ground thick clustered roots showing above ground (Miss James says it lives mainly almost?) Lvs 12 in long x almost 6 in wide tapering to thick ends from about or little after middle. Petiole about 2 in long, not sheathing, 3 ridged on tabe. If is perhaps articulate with petiole of entire, undulate Mid-rib prominently ridged above beneath. Beneath toward base then 3 ridged. Primary veins similarly prominent Petiole 21/2 in axillary, brown. Spaethe brown 13/4 in ovate, acute, Spatha x equally long, completely covered with fle green. Almost? And leaves? No BFJ Bo B MFC P 5-6-29 Same plant at Mayflower 20ft flz. Lf. 5 ft x 18 in. X 4-29-29 Dieffenbachia pictum, Schott BMFCP. P.137. In pot at Snow Plant since lobell "Leaf-embrace". Almost studied. 3 or 4ft high at green ground, at least 1in thick (as remembered) 11/2-2 in thick sheathing for 10 in long. Leving circular scar on st. Lf green spotted white, oval, slightly cordate, deuth estimated 9 x 41/2 in. Alow if meas-ured was 131/2 x 61/2 in
