Par-la-Ville Colyx densely yellow inside 1 case lobes 6v stamens seven. 12.v 1 case lobes 7v stamens 14. but 5-10 seem the rule. "West Indian Almond" labeled. No rules in flower examined set fr. fallen from the tree collected earlier in year. Fl. sessile i.e. in spikes. 4-11-29 Bauhinia. flwlf collected Southlands & 3in bracts 1/4 3/4 x 3 in, lobes united for 1/2 Petals slightly x if beneath fruit- erulent Calyx slightly 5-toothed in bud. Petals white. Stamens 5- all fertile. Calyx & (both the free aethelble parts) the 1/2 tube below (was this pedicel?) beare short stutty brown hairs (20x) or perhaps these should be called min- utes-cles. they are easily detachable. Cores 13. Flary-stalked hairy, its sides thickly covered with white glandular bodies hairs or none as long as broad appears to be easily scraped off by needle... Fl from an adjacent tree, pet the same sp is 3 x 2 1/2 in. Superior petal rounder than others slightly greenish in center. Stamens 5- hard-delivered but seem all to have been fertile. Filaments unequal 7/8-1 1/4in, x Petiole 1-1 1/2 in thickened at both ends.
