The 2 stamen filaments with enlarged bases for each side, by long filament base & pubescent petal. Specs also somewhat enlarged, looking like filaments of sterile stamens. 4-5-29 Alisma Baldwinii. J. T. Small p128 Flv uniflor fr. Spittal Pond. #171 #44 4-5-29 Tisoa marina, Britton p131 Flv fr. Spittal Pond sweet and abundant. Ant. Zone pilateus, to 11"t and dark green with st. purplish. Others w/ fl 2 ½ in light green in dense colonies. For all, lower parts are glabrous, the upper parts st. looped pale glandular pubescent. Sepals hypaline brine crenate-limb. Petals purple as long as sepals or shorted. Stamens 2-6 in cases studied. Stipules sheath ing.* Dark spot at base of annus of calyx Stipes * narrow at base of petiole but triangular acuminate bet the lvs. 4-5-29 Arenaria leptoclada, Buss Flv fr. Spittal Pond p130. It with almost downward pointing white hairs. Lvs less thickly covered with similar upward pointing hairs v(20) show lighter dots beneath valves. Plant Gundige. 4-5-29 Lagina percombens, p 130. Spittal Pond. I spec only found among the Tisoa marinae marime 1 7/8 in high, glabrous throughout. Lvs carpeing but without stipules. Sepals v styles 4. Valves 4.
