Fl.w.p. 3-13-29 Harrington House garden. Plant lower than T. Antiriseus, general effect rather lighter green. Strong red, lovely pubescent with long spreading, gray hairs Lvs pentagonal 3/4 x 1 1/2 in. (and not like ill. J & G. carolinianum, L p 191). All are 3 parted to base. the middle segment very narrow for at least 1/4 in from base then cut into 3 parts which are round lobed, the lateral segments cut almost to base (making effect of 5 segments with narrow bases) V rounded lobed. Peduncle 1 in bearing 2 flo on 1/2 in pedicels. Flo rose colored 1/4 in long. Sepals glandular pubescent, 3 [illegible] midrib with thick lips 1 mm. long lacy blue edged (the inner V middle edges broadly so) not ciliate, about as long as petals. Claw of petal 1/2 in blade a little more than 1/4 in long
