Hawson Tree Barle-grav smouth 7-10-29 Tree labeled "Rose Apple" at Par-la-Ville in evidently same tree as in less health. states no ft. buds observed. 4-11-29 Tree at Annen Corner observed with flower buds of the many flowers prominent. 5-7-29-29 Buds studied again from same tree. 3-30-29 Ranunculus asiaticus, L. Fl from Mrs. Parrish's table. B.M.J.C.P. 2173. Torus 3/4in high, pointed. Nectary pit at base of petal? Petals range from maroon to rose-yellow var. orcled blended the under side usually orlier brighter than the uppers, St. quad lately dark purple. 3-30-29 Heranium #136 & H. A. same as 3-7-29 from so side of North Rd Smithy farm last vine cut- junction with Old to St. Anne's Church B. (was found no seed) had a little west of the above region, very same as 3-23-29. A. Both juniper fr 7/8in che see 9/12/29 Calyx close around carpels, each lobed sepals has 3 equal broad green ridges vs blyaline bet. ridges seed not smooth at this stage shows fine broken longitudinal lines Fl 1/4in rose-diam bright-roy lavender much darker than B. B.is #139 & H. B. Calyx much looser around carpels than A. Sepals ovate with narrow nerve in center & near each edge. Petals juniper fr 7/8in hairy entire length like carpels Fl 1/4in rose-diam pale rose-lavender seed papillae in long longitudinal lines much more coarsely scotian above. Seed tuberculate. X 3-30-29 Ornithogalum arabicum, L. B.M.J.C.P. 162. Negus's house at turn inside road to Brecle Hill Fl.2. Leaves 20in. 1/4 2 1/4 in. 1 3/4 in wide. strap-shaped acuminate, lax, folding more or less down center but without definite mid-rib. Fls 9 buds 17, unbracted corynb. Lowest pedicels
