Southlands. To fl o fr. lf from shrub, tho't when collected to be same kind as abov, 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 in, state, broadly acute v minutely apiculate at apex, base somewhat more acute than apex, entire somewhat revolute less thick v stiff than above Rich green above (not yellowish as abov) on upper surface with hatches of lighter green along mid-rib. Pale beneath (but not as yellow as abov) Veins some what blue above but less markeably so v lateral veins evident beneath! Punctole above v beneath just like abov. Could this be L. lucidum, Art B.M.I.C.P 594 ? 4-11-29 There seem to be from same shrub 10 ft high. Dark watery young twig dark red. Others seem to be dead and are very dry. Dull terminal with largest bundles of panicle in axils of lo.

3-28-29 Lonicera sempervirens, L p 373 v B.M.I.C.P. 1426 Fl. Southlands lf (m fl wing) 1 1/2 in x 3/4 in sepals, the upper pair connate, perfiliate. Fls in 2v clusters of 6. Tube 1/2 in, slightly gibbous at base in line with the 5th separate lobe, enlarging gradually to point about 3/4 of way to throat i.e. 1/4 in below throat while stamens are inserted showing on outside the points of insertion of the 5 stamens. limb almost equally lobed but slightly 2 lipped in that the 5th lobe is slightly more deeply
