3-23-29 Mint family. Herb. Not for fr. Bet Hamilton & Spanish Pt. of from Span. iol Pt. to Darling St. Stop two scales or very nearly so. Lvs oval 1 x 3/4 in, crenate serrate. Huse round- ed n sub endate at base, peticulated St. vhs (supplement) densely white woolly but not viscid. Might be thist Marrutium vulgare? except that BMJC.P.p 648 says Lvs narrowed to a petiole". Perhaps Mentha rotundifolia Nuds. p 330 also more woolly than disc. not viscid? 3-23-29 ?? Magnolia grandiflora, L p 136, BMJC.P. 21/1 to fr. St. John's Church yard. Lvs alt with serr around twig n otting & sheathing atipule. Lvs 7 x 2 1/4 in, oblong tapering both ways entire & slightly revolute. Darke green volining above, lighter v smoothly glabrate beneath wth only slight trace of the rusty brown torcentum found on a few lvs. Petiole ?/2 in 3-23-29 Walkm St John's Church yard & in fr (not collected) is prof Duque and Rotez.
