Lower pedicels 3 to 7 flts. sharply
pointed. Purple-green.
Stem (1) front tip only turned dotted.
Flowers like ill & Taberna p.352 under
side longer than upper.
Stamens three (?) 4 fertile stamens.
anther sacs forming + with appendage
between them. 5th stamen less
than 1/2 as longy & another undivided?

Lower side view. Filaments dilated & hairy
at base. Sepals enlarge to form a petiole
1/4 in x 1/8m. Purpleish dotted brown.
capsule splits into 4 valves but only
3 cells v 3 seeds in three opened?
Seed 1/4 in long, black, very slightly reticu-
lated (20x). Ex-corpse to green stylelodes
very distinct Fl. Fr. Unripevifed.

New vines of "Jackes" with hrs mostly
entire v clefts or backed like ill. And
vines of "Red Five Fingers" are lower ill.
Head & "White Five Fingers" which was
said to look like "Red Five Fingers" but
to be white inside when cooked "like

Flats saw Red Five Fingers in bloom.
Purple flowers lighter on edge.
Filaments dilated at tip & attached. Ovarla
obconical at point of attachment.
Style short, oblique, shortly. Grans (?)
4 or 5 from which ovule had just fallen,
yellow v obscurely lobed looking like tiny
summer squash. Throats probably dark.
Refoflorations tend to purpleish hue.
