7-26-34 (i.e. gray-green v/hv clasping w/rounded
auricles). But plant not shaggy gray w/long hairs
(as in ? #oil-). Heads smaller than in #1, and
invol. bracts appressed. Lower lvs. possibly slightly
panduriforms. Calyx teeth not ciliate (an occasion-
al hair on back of teeth). This is best guessace to SVI,
but consider also one of the hybrids such as
H. valdepiisum Vill (= prenanthoides - yellowum
SVHI 746). Spec of 7-26-34 not necessarily the same
as 9-2-33.
7-26-34 Epilobium alsinefolium Vill. Costa II:80; Bar-
105; RVH/58; SVHI470 Flv young fl.
k) Path east of Chamoraleq. Sts 2 ft. high.
h) Rockersde Nape eastern ridge (where found but not
recorded in 1933). Sts 2½-5 in. Runner's well under-
ground with scales (not lvs) so no question of its
being E. alpinum.
7-26-34 Ribes petraeum Wulf. Costa II/24; Bar.119; SVHI 336
unique fl. Rockersde Nape, western ridge. Plainly ident to
ciliate calyx lobes, hermaphrodite flo; number flo (6-8)
and bracts ½ as long as pedice (SVI). But note that
petiole is always + ½ as long as lf-blade (SVI or longer
than ½) shape of blade as ill (Costa)
