Style def abgesetzt from firm all stages and, in ripe fr, is def thickened at tip to look as much as stigma (SvK) 7-18-34? Hieracium rigidum Hartman Cata 4 981 = H. levigatum Willd gruppe Rigidum SvKI 947 Flvs fr Villeneus or -> la Brouette. Spot not remem- bred. St to 25 in high, at bry fairly glabrous; rough to touch; (20x) almost papillose w/ with some starry the floreulance but no glands. Rootstock short, stubby, only about twice as broad as base got. St lfty (10 lbs), oft very near base flat so long narrowed to base as to be practically petiolate; the rest soon ascilla always narrowed to base x not at all clasping, seeming gradually smaller towards the top got. (All Cata dadequate) In green and lobes feel glabrous on upper surface but (20x) show light hairs more or less upper surface lower surface lightly more hairy (never any glands). Pelenoles somewhat starry filiculate w/ a few dark simple hairs. Invul dits with occa- sional glands. Invul 8 mm high, bracts appressed and, certainly some, tapering toward tip. Achenes dark purple 3 mm long. Rays glabrous. Styles greenish. Keys in Cata vs SvKI lead to this ident. But consider also presg H. vulgatum Fries. Receptacle might be called "gezahnt" as desc fr H. levigatum.
