Flvrs frequent in vineyards Viewry->Bower?] 7-13-34? Orobanche minoris Sm Bon 333 RII #374, ?9740 = O. barbata Poiret SVK I 623 and (surely?): O. minor Sutton Cost III 74, Bon 2147. Fl. Kline Path from Mt. Flessi->Kline on V-M grounds. Growing near a love plant. St is thick, enlarged at base, the colour of each R.B.K's bands. Stigmas (perle?) about same shade v darkening somewhat in those. This is not purple but neither is it yellow. Perhaps reddish describes it best. Corolla in contrast looks yellow tho really monde-script palish line and stinging reddish toward tip. React just the length of corolla Calyx split to base into 2 orate segments with long sub-ulate tips reaching above middle of corolla tube. Corolla liberally provided with hair tipped with yellow glands (as are all parts of infl.) Corolla 13-16 mm long. (On the lowest fl 16mm long) the tube is 10mm long and stamens are inserted 2-3mm above base. Stamens slightly hairy near base, glabrous above. Upper lip not reflexed.
