11mm over-all, left at apex into 3 linear lobes 3mm long. These lobes alternating in a line down under surface and appearing recurved at some stages. Fl lower st. if on pedicel 5.5 cm with 2 opp. searious bracts about 9mm length abov middle. Fl in axil next at 4on pedicel 4 [crossed out] cm with the 2 opp bracts below the mid- dle and another bract higher up. Three flo seem cut just on shorter pedicelle lower what is prob. a common subtending fl (5cm long & hence longer than the pedicels it subtends but still more like a bract than a fl). Pedicels also have shorter (+16-15mm) + searious bracts at base or higher (these searious bracts in all cases may be spathes.) It seems likely that the topmost fl. opens first. = C. exculenta Lindl not Robinson 5-34-34 Camassia quamash Greene BMQC P/63. Fl. Drage garden. If root is a bulb this is only poss in BMQC P.
