rid at la Colline. Infl seems a comb. of each J.L.Cap.vh.

in that lower stalks J.fl.s
are sessile on the large
connate br.(a) as in L.Cap.
Others are in nest whorls (2 close
together as in(O)) one stalk 1/1cm long have no
connate brs beneath them but only small ovate bracts
about 1/2mm high. While(b) has a pair of connate br.
much smaller that those of(a). Terminal whorls
(c) (inwhch n 2 close together) close to(H) have only small
bracts(as at D) to as long as 5 mm..(As R. understands
the descres L.utresea would have no sessile
whorls and L.Caprifolium would have no whorls
not sessile or connate brs.) Bractlets thickish,
roundish to 21/2-3mm high which "about 1/2 as long as
ovary." Corolla tube slender, delicately curved not
gotten to 3cm long; limb 1/2 as long. Corolla yellonish
white, purplish outside, with stalked gland on outside
of tube; inside glabrous. Stamens exserted 1 1/2-2 cm.
Fls fragrant when collected at 8 o'clock pm. Young
stems red, glabrous or glaueous above, but hairy
lower down. brs firmer than L.pariflora(6-2-34 v
glabrous.) (Dyer over J.fl.s & char. in Inflales ed.)
