Note that, besides the differences visually noticed: shape of brs, ciliation and balance of gland, 2 characteristics mentioning Sv% I are very useful. 1. The ventral frd of P.P. is depressed on one side only and ± rounded on the other [In Plap- fe is depressed on both sides. 2. Nerves periantb of P.P. are obscure (even 20x) & seem to run parallel to the edge [In P. lap- the nerves are very distinct (20x) and branched like anchors near the edge. 9-8-34 Eclinschloa frumentacea Link BM & C P109, S 117 FL Villeneuve-Dump. Looks like E. Caruselli with very heavy compact dark infl upper brs 1 inch wide. Branches of infl incurved. 9-8-34 ?? Selaria italica P.B. (See 8-17-34) FL Path opp Clillon → Chambaud. This does not look at all like S. italica of 8-17-34 which has long heavy, lobed hanging infl. This has instead the general effect of S. viridis.
