8-17-34 Sparganium neglectum Beeby Cote III 439, BVH 434 & II #3% = S. erectum L. neglectum Selinga Thellung SVK I 27. Due ni S. ramosum Huds Box 318. Puripof 2 La Beauette. Since it is not ripe there is possibility this may be S. erectum asp polyedrum Selinga Thellung. But red row is more than 1 mm below that top of fruit, the space being filled with spongy tissue. Fr abov is round & shining (green) and tapers into a beak of 2 mm (Cote says 3 mm). Fr rem in lower part is not strongly angled from the fruits being closely crowd together as in asp polyedrum. Cote base BVH II. Base fat & flv is slightly pinkish but inside is not def. white. Percell & sp. 9 & flo are decidedly en- larged at tip. SVK I p27 note bears out ident. One specimen only seen & collected at lake edge just south of La Beauette. 8-17-34 Raphanus sativus L. Cote I 73. Box 21; 4429, SVK I 298 Fl v adv. fr. Frequent near Bonveret Fly. Fl is distinctly lilac purple. Petal veined & less more graphi- cr smooth than the following. 8-17-34 Raphanus Rapbanistrum L. Cote I 73; Box 21; BVH 51; 4427. SVK I 298. Fl v adv. fr. Bonveret Flage not frequent. Petals def. yellow with brownish purple veins. Lv rough hairy to eye and touch.
