These rosette lvs spreading; 30x2 mm, narrowed toward base, 1-nerved, glabrous except for very short fine ciliakin (or roughness) at toward base. St. glabrous. The fl pair not too much larger than internodes (the upper pair reaching to tip). [fl. ] Calyx reddish, striate, 14 mm high, pedicel 4-5 mm to teeth (lanceolate, acute). Bracts 2-3, of which 2 (bases much like calyx) narrow into long tips (like the lobes but rather narrower) which surpass the fl. calyx (being about equal in height to the fl.). Petals in - cile sparsely pubescent with a few longer hairs at throat. 8-5-34 Laya simplex [and Costa] II 185; Box 12, 9 = L. ligusticum mutellinoides Vill SOT I 499 = L. simplex All = Pachypleurum simplex Rehl. Fl. Engadine. Plant 6 cm overall. St. naked. Otherwise agrees with it (Costa). Undiv. bract acute
